For this assignment I decided to create the illustration on a birch wood panel using acrylic paints, charcoal pencil, glitter and collage with Zig Clean Color Real Brush pens and watercolour paper.
In the videos below I share my processes and the experiments I did to get to the final painting and explain the reasons for choosing each of the elements.

The Painting:
In Summary:
I decided to paint a landscape which I feel represents my art style and the things I enjoy painting and illustrating already. I love to include animals in my work and I have two lovely Dalmatians called Ellie and Skye who sometimes make it into my paintings as well as giving me much joy at home. The cottage represents myself, I do enjoy painting cottages and love the country lifestyle. Spring and Winter are my favourite seasons, I especially enjoy painting these. I tried to incorperate both in this painting. The rose arch represents the growth I would like to experience during this degree course as well as learning new supplies. I chose to create the roses on watercolour paper, using Zig Clean Color Real Brush pens, which are a new medium for me that I would like to improve with.
I really love how this painting came out, it's a fair representation of who I am, my interests and what I hope to achieve during the course.
I create videos as part of my self-employment and thought it a wonderful opportunity to not only share my journey with my tutor but also those who enjoy watching my videos as well. It'll be great to look back on in the future to see how far I've come after the course.
