Image Development

I picked these two stunning photographs from Suffolk magazine. I felt both images were really striking. Deciding between the two was hard but I ended up choosing the Orwell Bridge because I love the effects of the lights shining down.

The ways in which the original image was cropped really made a difference to what it represented. In some crops it was clear the bridge was still there, in others the bridge had no place at all. In some crops it made the bridge look very mundane and in others it looked more upmarket.

I liked a lot of these crops, in the end I chose 'peaceful' because it looked so different from the original image. I decided to make it into a gallery poster for a show opening. The original image was taken of Orwell Bridge in Ipswich, so I used that as part of the location for the finished poster.
